Wondering how to find the right website designer for your business? Think Local. It's only human to be confused with so many options out there. How does one know where to start, how much it costs, what happens after the website is done, and who to trust.
Start at the beginning. Why do you need a website to begin with? Some might say they are old, stale, and boring. Fact is, they are. And that's because they aren't kept up to date, have old designs, and weren't approached the right way to begin with.
You need a website because people will look for one to validate who you are and what you do. It's a part of marketing. You might even need one because you are selling something. Websites do not need to be complicated, they do not need to be fancy, and they certainly don't need to cost you an arm and a leg!

But, How Do I Find A Website Designer?
It's like finding love. Stop looking so hard and it will find you. If you are reading this article, you have found it. See how that works? Seriously though, you need to realize that local website designers are a great place to begin and you also need to look for someone that specializes in your preferred platform. What's a platform? Think Wordpress, Wix, Squarespace, etc.
I focus on Wix Website Design so that's my preferred area. No need to get into why I love Wix, but all I can say is that it's the one platform I have found that offers security, stability, ease of use, great pricing, and features that can accommodate even the largest of businesses.
Let's say you know exactly what platform you want to use. Then here's how to find the right Website designer. Let's also presume you want to use Wix and you want to stay local here in Denver.
Do a Google Search for "Wix Website Designer near me" or "Wix Website Designer Denver"
Note the results and see what comes up. There will be ads as well, but that's not a bad thing. They can match exactly what you are looking for.
Note the map results too. You can see who's around you. Maybe you have a Wix Website designer across the street (kinda creepy, huh?)
Check out the websites you find, look at the pricing, check out the feedback from others, and then reach out.
When you reach out, they should get back to you promptly. If not, move on.
After they get back to you, note if they have done any homework and note their interest in you as a person/business rather than just another sale.
Above all else, make sure they are there for you after the website has been launched. Large agencies will often "disappear" and leave you hanging. So make sure they will be there for you.
If you cannot anyone with a Google Search, then ask around. Good ol' tried and true word of mouth works wonders. I'll write more on that later.
Finally, here's a monkey to brighten your day. See his face? He's worried that he won't find a good Wix website designer. But he will. And so will you.
